It Comes From Mozambique
Nando’s originated in South Africa, but we grow our PERi-PERi throughout Southern Africa—especially in Mozambique. Responsibility is core to our business, so we choose to empower more than 1,400 farmers by growing our own PERi-PERi across nearly 500 acres in the region.
It’s Our Identity
Because PERi-PERi is a pepper, a sauce, and a nod to our homeland, it’s who we are. You can’t have Nando’s without PERi-PERi.
Mini Chorizo and PERi-PERi Frittatas
6 tbsp PERi-PERi sauce6 medium eggs, beaten1 red pepper sliced1 red onion, sliced1 tbsp olive oil1/2 cup diced chorizo1/2 cup frozen peasSmall bunch of fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 325°f and preheat frying pan over a medium high heat.Whisk the eggs with PERi-PERi sauce in a bowl.Add oil to the pan and cook the chorizo for 3-4 minutes. Add red onion and pepper and cook for 5 minutes, then add peas and cook for another 2 minutes. Finish off by adding parsley.Spoon the veg mix into the muffin tray, divide into 10 muffins, top with egg mix and place in the oven for 12-15 minutes.Remove move from oven and divide into 5 containers. Refrigerate for up to 4 days and enjoy with salad.
